MAA (Movie Artists Association) is going to organize a
Star Night named ‘
Maa Spandana’ on 7th November at Gachibowli stadium, Hyderabad in the aid of flood victims.
Dasari, Bala Krishna, Mohan Babu, Venkatesh, Murali Mohan, Rajendra Prasad, Jr. NTR, Vishnu, Tarun, Kalyan Ram, Rajasekhar, Siddhardh, Naresh, Jamuna, Vijaya Nirmala, Jayasudha, Naveen and others attended the press meet.
Speaking on the occasion Dasari said: “Several districts in AP had severely suffered with the floods. It's been a tradition for film industry to take the responsibility of collecting funds whenever there is a crisis. NTR and ANR used to go to people seeking donations in the past for such calamities. MAA has decided to organize a star night to help the flood victims on. I request all the actors to participate in this event and help the flood victims”.
MAA President Murali Mohan said: "Legendary actors NTR and ANR always helped the people in the past during calamities. My father was expired recently so I unable to lead this program. Blakrishna came forward to lead this program from the front. VRK Events came forward to organize this event. TV9 also came forward to help us out. MBS Jewelry gave us 50 lacs. Several NRI’s are also donating money to aid flood victims. We will take a decision to either donate to CM's relief fund or to adapt some of the affected villages. I request all the actors and actresses will participate in the event and contribute your support for the flood victims”.
Bala Krishna said: "It is our responsibility to help for the people who suffered in the floods. My father NTR visited all over AP to collect funds from people when there was a calamity. I request all the actors and heroines to participate the function on 7th November for a noble cause”.
