Sahara Samay MP/Chhattisgarh is a 24 hours, free-to-air Hindi news channel from the bouquet of Sahara Samay. Launched on October 16, 2003, the channel has revoulutionised the concept of news boardcasting with its unique approach to showcase the regional news with a wider perspective.

Honoured by the Hon'ble Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shri Jaipal Reddy on the Sixth Anniversary celebrations, Sahara Samay MP/Chhattisgarh has been awarded for the Best Content and Technical Excellence of its feature 'Mudde Ki Baat' at the “Broadcast Engineering Society Award-2005”.

Close on the heels of winning this prestigious awardlate last year, Sahara Samay MP/Chhattisgarh, garnered yet another accolade, the “Best News Channel Award” on June 17, 2006 at ‘Madhav Jyoti Alankaran Samaroh’. This is another signal honour for the channel, for the third year running. But more than the technical excellence the channel takes pride in its attitude, which is pro-people and positive.

Sahara Samay MP/Chhattisgarh’s role as a bold, independent and objective channel is increasingly being appreciated and applauded by viewers spread over both the states, with five Bureaus located in prime cities of the two states - Jabalpur, Gwalior, Indore, Bhopal and Raipur and over 150 reporters.
