The Assembly Polls live coverage will capture live reaction from count centers across India as the Assembly Elections 2016 results come in, with leading analysts and political leaders giving their reaction to how the State Assembly is shaping up. The elections will include that of five state legislative assemblies in India namely Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the expiration of their tenure this year.

The elections for the next Legislative Assembly in Assam were held in two phases, on April 4th and 11th to elect members of the 126 constituencies in Assam, as the tenure of office expires on June 5th. The tenure of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala on the other hand expires on May 31st 2016 and the elections will be on May 16th for the 140 seats in Kerala. In West Bengal, the tenure expires on May 29th and the election dates are April 4th, 11th, 17th, 21st, 25th, 30th and May 5th for the 294 seats (out of 295). While, the tenure of Tamil Nadu expires on May 22nd and the elections will be on May 16th for the 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. Lastly, the tenure of Puducherry expires on June 2nd 2016 and the elections will be held on May 16th for the 30 seats in the non-contiguous territory.
