Dev Saran (Shah Rukh Khan) is a dissatisfied former footballer who is not happy with his wife Rheas (Preity Zinta) successful career. Maya Talwar (Rani Mukerji) is a teacher, she got married to her childhood Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan), Maya is not happy with him because of the lack of feelings towards him. One day Dev and Maya meet in the middle of their respective failing marriages.
