Pathak visits Ashok's mother, who is very sick. He gets worried when the mother reveals that someone is trying to kill her. She makes Pathak promise to give her justice if and when it happens. Soon, she dies of poisoning, and the police apprehend Ashok for it. Pathak now has to worry about the prosecutor, Jaydeep Thakral, who has a track record of twisting evidence and making sure that the person convicted receives the strictest of punishments.
