In the epic conclusion to her tale, Devi Sumati captures the sun using her divine powers, thereby forcing the Tridevs to bring her husband, Ugrashrava, back to life. Ugrashrava also apologizes for his behaviour and all the atrocities he inflicted upon Sumati. Later, after inviting Devi Sumati for haldi kumkum, Ganesh and Lakshmi leave to invite Devi Savitri. Thus begins the story of Devi Savitri, who forced the mighty Yamraj to return her husband's life.
