Gopal is shivering with high fever, he asks his wife to inform the Rajya Vaidya about his illness but she refuses to do so. She even points out to Gopal, that they do not have enough money with them at the moment for his treatment. However, the village children hear Gopal's conversation with his wife. And, in order to help Gopal recover from his illness, they inform Raja Krishnachandra about Gopal's deteriorating health condition.
