Raja Krishnachandra has organized a Mahabhoj for the people of his province and Gopal is looking after the arrangements. However, the previous evening, while returning back to his home, Gopal hears someone crying in an isolated house near the jungle. The moment Gopal enters the house, he gets to know that a ghost is crying for food. The ghost narrates to Gopal that last year he had participated in the Mahabhoj after which died of excessive eating but he still wants to taste the delicious food of this year's Mahabhoj.
