She is celebrated as Rajasyamala or Rajamatangi, as also tenderly addressed as Laghu Syamale, with the composer earnestly appealing for her grace. She is portrayed as the very foundation of the five elements, the one whose form enchants Siva (Somasundaresvara), and whose lotus-like feet are ever worthy of adoration. She embodies both word and meaning, both Paramatma and Jivatma. Set in the ancient raga Gauri, this k?ti stands apart for its distinctive structure—featuring a chittaswara passage for the pallavi and a different chittaswara passage for the anupallavi.
