Accompanied by Violin : R K Shriramkumar Mridangam: N C Bharadwaj *Sri Dum Durge* In this Srirañjani composition, Muttusvami Dik?itar venerates Goddess Durga as the embodiment of pure consciousness and compassion. She is envisioned as residing in the forest, absorbed in the notes of music and enjoying the resonant variations of the dundubhi (big drum). Transcending all dualities, she is the fearless Mother who destroys the impurities of the Kali Yuga. Victorious and ever-gracious, she is the one upon whom the composer meditates with devotion.
